Mezzmo Pro on the server, all hard wired -

Might be a dumb question but i have had mezzmo for almost 6 years? love it - but one thing that I recently did was decide to transcode my sons cartoons folder and set the profile to my roku devices and it was HLS? But one thing I noticed was that it transcoded the entire folder the number of ROKUs I had in the house. I plan on getting another soon for the basement entertainment center but is there a way to split the profile? Meaning just transcode it to "roku" and have each roku have the ability to pull that same file instead of having to waste storage space on transcoding it 3 different times?

Many thanks in advance,

Peter

Mezzmo shares transcoded files between devices that use the same profile, so if all your Roku devices use the Roku Streaming Player profile then you will only need to transcode a file once for all the devices.

If there a way to tell? when playing it, will it automatically find the transcoded file even though its an acceptable format? thanks

You can go to the properties of the file in Mezzmo and on the transcoding tab it will show the devices the file has been transcoded for, it will appear as 'Preferred' if Mezzmo will use it for the device.
