I have a new LG 4k OLED TV, so I tried MEZZMO streaming with some 4K MP4 video files that used to work fine on my SONY 4K TV.
The LG recognizes the MEZZMO server and streams photos in 4K flawlessly.
However, my 4K videos of late are taken with a Samsung Note 8 and result in MP4 files.
The LG TV immediately tells me their format is not recognized.

Is there something I need to do within MEZZMO other than pre-transcoding for the LG TV? Everything works without error in MEZZMO, and the files stream via my SONY BD Player.

Thanks.

Hi,
the first thing to check is the device profile selected for the TV in 'Media Devices' in Mezzmo, make sure the LG TV Ultra HD profile is selected and try playing the files. Other profiles may try to transcode the video to 1080p which could be very slow and result in the video not playing until transcoding has progressed enough to provide the TV some data to play.

I have three 2017 model LG 4k TVs, they are non-OLED, but they stream 4k MP4 movies just fine. In fact, I convert the MKV files to MP4 as my preferred format. You might check and see if they are 10-bit HDR or 12-bit HDR, because I don't believe that the LG TVs natively support 12-HDR.
