What I'd like to have is another reset option.

Reset to remove all tumbnails, files, movies, music, etc..

but NOT to reset my actual library setup.

I have a lot of libraries, smart lists, playlist, etc..

and sometimes things get screwed up. I wrote you an email about sometimes for instance changing a filter setting not sticking..

I know when I reset everything I can get further and redo it to make it stick.

But it's just a lot of work & I can't always remember all the playlist filters and settings.

So IDEAL would be a reset option to get rid of ALL the data without getting rid of all my playlist and filter settings.

IN FACT, I'd prefer it if you could move this information out of the db file into an XML so we could manually fix things
if something goes wrong.

Because honestly, this is the only bug-glitch I still have after years of Mezzmo that sometimes I have to do everything from scratch
and I just let it run overnight on my tens of thousands of movies, series, etc..

But that I have to redo these while smart lists, playlists, etc without the option to just have an xml to look into
to "fix" if something needs to be fixed manually or RESET without doing all the playlists and filters..

I really miss that option

NO, not criticizing Mezzmo! I love it, best media server out there.

And I can live with glitches. Just think the
1) option to reset movies-photos-music ONLY and not the actual playlist and filters would be highly appreciated
2) exposing / reading these playlist & filter settings to and from XML would be highly appreciated

You could create a smart playlist that lists all files in the database then select all and delete to remove all files and reset the database without removing playlists and folders.
Mezzmo currently supports exporting metadata of files to xml, you can right click a single file and select to export metadata or select a group of files and right-click and select export metadata. The xml file is created in the same folder as the media file and the poster and backdrop are saved to the same location.

Yes I am actually doing that just removing all the files to delete without the playlist but still easier for users to have a button which automates this.

Yes I read the answer in the other question/support I asked. I didn't know about this option. Very good.
But it could/should at least I hope you can automate this or have an "option" which users can select on/off to automate this.

You see I have a huge database. with thousands of movies, many more thousands of series, tens of thousands of photos and tens of thousands music files.

so going everywhere to do that is kinda a daunting task.. or every time a movie has been player to "export" manually again.. and again...

also my media server is used by many people on our VPN network. So to keep it up to date, the exported data, how do I know who recently saw which movie
also I don't want to know.. basically thus I have to keep exporting all files once a week to keep up-to-date information.

That's kinda an overkill. It could/should I hope it will, be an automated task to export ALL the files initially after scanning/adding them to the library and then upon
played, changed, etc it triggers an event to re-export the up to date information.
