Web Interface Security
I opened up my web interface to outside my home (using strong passwords) so I could watch movies at work on my lunch. By happenstance when I was working on my media, I noticed 2 users connect (possibly proxied) that immediately started downloading files (I enabled that as well). One was in Germany, the other in Poland.
I shut off the rules in my firewall, but it seemed odd that my Mezzmo server could be found that quickly. In a day. I suppose I could turn on approval of new devices, but it’s worriesome that people are scanning around for Mezzmo servers.
Any thoughts?

If you are concerned about security you can use nginx as a reverse proxy for the Mezzmo media server http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=streaming_using_https_secure_protocol& s[]=nginx, this will prevent anyone seeing your password so you can prevent unauthorized access.

I don’t believe my password was compromised though. It seems like a vuln.
SSL support would be nice too. Jus’ sayin’,
