Will library update with only server running?

I'm kinda new to using DLNA, and I just started trying out this software today. The main thing that drew me to try Mezzmo over the AllShare software that's available from Samsung is that it will update folders automatically.

Once I have it set up, will the folders I've added to Mezzmo update with just the Media Server running, or do I need to leave the app running to keep the folders updated?

Mezzmo server will automatically read in folders that you've added using the "Add Folder" command. These folders will be refreshed/re-read when you browse them on your device. To run scheduled maintenance, you need the GUI running.
