Since upgrading to Mezzmo v3.3.1.0, smart playlists that have a rule where 'Album / Series' is '' have stopped displaying any items.
Is this a bug introduced in v3.3.1.0 or a setting change somewhere?

this is a bug that we are working on fixing now.
Hi,
you can download a new Mezzmo installer from our website and run it to repair your installation and this should resolve the problem.
Unfortunately, the problem still exists after carrying out a repair with the latest installer

I contacted support on 3 Sept and haven't heard anything back from them. Is a fix coming or should I roll back?
