Downloadstudio fail to download any file

When I tried to download http://pwd.rajasthan.gov.in/Mfdev010.ttf
Gives message

Initially Zone alarm was there which is shutdown and there is No firewall

User Agent is : Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1)

I have Symentac antivirus installed.

No downloads are possible from any web site.

What is the problem?

Are you going through a proxy server to access the internet?

If so, you will not be able to download anything until you enter in the proxy details into the HTTP options section in the DownloadStudio options dialog.

Check in Internet Explorer to see if it is using a proxy server to access the internet. Depending on your version of Internet Explorer you can usually find this information in the IE Internet options, under the connections tab, then goto the LAN settings.

No proxy server at all. I am using India's most popular broadband provider BSNL.
Is there any way to test downloadstudio's functioning because it delivers failed message immediately. However, I am able to download everything if I bypass downloadstudio by pressing SHIFT before clicking to any download link.

If you do not have a proxy server then it definitely sounds like a Firewall is stopping communication between DownloadStudio and the internet. Please double check if zone alarm could be causing this and also check if there is any other software on your computer which could be blocking access to the internet.

To see if communication between DownloadStudio is working at all, go to the Add Job dialog, and enter a valid url such as http://www.google.com/ and then try the Check URL... function under the 'Commands' button.

If the Check URL comes back with a size and mime type then communication is working between DownloadStudio and the internet, otherwise DownloadStudio is being blocked from accessing the internet.
