How to access stream on my panasonic
Hi,
I just bought a PANASONIC TC-42G25. It has DLNA. When i click the vierra cast button on my remote there is nothing about media servers or messmo. how is it exactly that i tune into the stream. The Panasonic veirra shows up as a device and a LAN. The media server is running. What in the world do i do?
I hate the fact that the VierraCast does not let me access files on my server but the samsung tV does.
thanks
Similar Problem - Viera TC-P500G25
I'm having the same issue as the other poster in this thread. Network Discovery is on, router (2Wire-Bell Canada, also is ADSL modem) configured, it sees the Viera as a network device (COM-MID1) and it has it's own IP address: 192.168.2.14. Checking Viera Tools, I have no network options there, only Media Player (which looks for a USB device by default), Eco, THX, Viera Cast and a couple more. I have 13 days left and certainly hope I can get this to work; it's just what I have been looking for. I also got a WD HD Live Media Player on eBay, thinking it was the HD Live TV with ethernet adapter, but it won't recognize any wireless adapters I have so Mezzmo is what I need to complete my happy home media center network.
Firewall (windows) shows no problems and is set according to allow port 53168 access as well as ports 10245, 10243, 1900, 2869 for WMP and Mezzmo as recommended from reading. AV is Panda free.
Mezzmo shows up with its library on all computers under network but Viera does not appear anywhere in control panel. If I hooked it up via DVI/RCA it would as I had a similar setup previously in my last apartment.
Your assistance will be GREATLY appreciated. If we get this working I will gladly boast about it on Facebook and my blog :) Will check back often for a response.
Thanks in advance!
