Can connect to mezzmo web outside home but not via android app

Hi All,

There aren't many recent posts about connecting outside home so here's a new one and a slightly confusing one. I have mezzmo running on my WHS 2011 box and it works well when in home LAN or when I log in on the move. However, because I have an issue with not being able to play a full album via the web interface on my phone, I tried using the Android app. That (on LAN) plays albums no problem and has some nice extra functionality too. But when I'm outside my LAN tested with Wifi Off inside my house, mezzmo Andoid app refuses to find my server but very quickly connects via web interface.

When connecting via web I use the following url
http://myserver.mydomain:2477/web/login?user=Admin
chrome phone browser instantly loads the webpage with Admin prepopulated and I can login and browse play etc.

enter the same url or shortened versions / combinations and nothing.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Alternatively give me a step by step guide for web for playing more than 1 song at a time in web interface as that is driving me crazy. long presses and double taps have no effect I can determine and there's no drag feature to select extra songs so not ideal.

I believe getting the app working outside home would be the best solution.

Please make sure the external media server port is configured in 'Media Server Settings' in Mezzmo then connect to the server on the LAN using the Mezzmo Android app and long click on the server in the servers list and select make sticky. This will keep the server in the list and if it cannot connect on the local network the external ip and port will be used.
