Any chance that you could do a packaged version for the QNAP TS-X51 series NAS?
Twonky has one as does Kodi, we don't want to be left out here. lol

Given your QNAP model has QvPC (i.e. supports OS virtualization), you can install Windows onto it and run Mezzmo (Windows) natively direct from the NAS.
Understand. We may create Mezzmo server builds for popular NAS boxes in the future, but it's not a high priority for us the moment (we have some higher priority features in our development queue that we are working on now for the upcoming Mezzmo v5.0 and for post v5.0).
Hi Paul,
Having asked for a Synology version of Mezzmo earlier I would like to point out that PC's as media servers aren't going to provide Conceiva with a lot of growth - if any. The one segment that is clearly underserved with good media servers is NAS systems.
More functions and features aren't as benefical for the average user as the ability to used an increasingly common hardware platform - the already mentioned NAS systems.
Please consider to elevate the priority of such packages in your development queue. Conceiva could be one of the first to gain market share in this space while you are just one of many in the space of feature -rich media servers (albeit a special one due to your excellent customer support :-).
I would happily buy a second license for my Synology Diskstation as others would surely do - another aspect Conceiva might be interested in.
Thanks for your thoughts, BeFi. Understand all your points. NAS versions of Mezzmo are certainly on our product roadmap.
One of the reasons for the lower development priority of creating Mezzmo versions for various NAS boxes is that the CPU/memory contained within NAS boxes is a real bottleneck for any full-featured media server such as Mezzmo (or any of our competitors) that is trying to run on NAS boxes. The most obvious issue is video transcoding - i.e. NAS boxes do not have the CPU performance to transcode 1080p video on-the-fly. This could be circumvented in Mezzmo by pre-transcoding videos on your NAS but it requires pre-planning by the user and as such does not make for an ideal media server platform. As NAS boxes evolve to use more powerful CPUs, then they will become more viable as a platform for media servers such as Mezzmo. I think you will find that competitor media servers that do currently run natively on NAS boxes all have serious performance issues related to video transcoding, and their only solution is to run the media server on a more powerful platform (Win PC, Mac, etc.) and use the NAS as storage.
Paul,
Not to quibble, but the processors in many of the NAS boxes out there are Celeron's + above. These same processors can handle transcoding on the fly quite easily (I have some Intel NUCs installed at my sister's place with no media server and they are slick).

Hi Wilson,
Good point and we are in agreement with you - as per my previous post "...As NAS boxes evolve to use more powerful CPUs, then they will become more viable as a platform for media servers such as Mezzmo".
