Hi Peter,
Thanks for the response. I suspected a timestamp issue which was perhaps a result of the occasionally poor signal quality of the channel in question. I haven't been using MediaPortal to...
I just checked a series I recorded where 5 episodes had the incorrect duration and 2 were correct and, unfortunately, there is no correlation with the GOP information.
I know a lot more about...
I just had a look though my various Mezzmo folders and found quite a large number of programs all with around 10 hours reported and they're all from the same TV channel. But not all programs are...
I suspect the problem lies with ffmpeg rather than Mezzmo. I assume that Mezzmo uses ffmpeg to read the program duration and ffmpeg is reporting it incorrectly. All my other tools (including plain...
Thanks jbinkley60. That fixed the file which Mezzmo reported as 15 minutes but not the ones which it reported as over 10 hours. Interestingly ffmpeg shows the incorrect duration for these as well but...
That's my experience as well.
I've recently upgraded my media server to an i7, upgraded Mezzmo to v5 and retired Windows Media Centre in favour of Media Portal TV Server.
The previous server was too slow to transcode on the fly...
Hi Paulo,
I have a Topfield 2400. I installed the latest firmware a couple of months back to try out its DLNA facilities. To be honest, I got bored pretty quickly - the client doesn't seem to be...
I upgraded to 2.7.1 yesterday after running 2.6.3 for a while.
It doesn't appear to have fixed the FF/REW issues with my BDP S370's. I also have an S580 but I haven't tried that yet. My Bravia HX700...
OK,
Finally found some time to do some testing.
The CX520 does not like YCbCr 4:4:4 as suggested by f77 nor does it like Progressive JPEGS as suggested by Dennis.
As noted above, converting...
Hi f77,
I took some photos in JPEG rather than RAW and they display fine straight from the camera (using USB). I need to run a cable to the TV to test them through Mezzmo. I'll do that this...
Good question. They were originally RAW images converted to JPEG using Nikon ViewNX2. I don't recall any options to select Progressive. I'll check when I get home.
There's a thread on another site...
I suppose a quick test would be to connect the CX520 to Mezzmo (it's not currently connected) and see what it does with the JPEGs over DLNA instead of USB.
Not exactly the same issue but...
I copied some JPEGs from a Nikon D70s to a USB thumb drive and tried to display them on a new Sony KDL32CX520 and got much the same results as f77 - the...
I haven't looked at pre-transcoding yet. What format does it transcode to - do I need to tell it which profile I'm going to use?
No problem. My server hardware isn't really grunty enough for real-time transcoding - your new pre-transcoding is good enough for the purpose?
I wrote a daemon process to poll/interrogate Media Centre for new recordings and fire off VideoRedo's COM interface to do a QuickStream fix and save the file as mpeg-ps.
Hi Dennis,
That's interesting - I've never noticed any discontinuity in the past - always seemed to resume exactly where I expected it to.
Since Mezzmo has been super-reliable for the last 18...
I was about to start a new thread but this looks similar but not the same. I noticed this first on 2.4.5 and it is still happening on 2.5.0. It was never apparent on any earlier versions (been using...
I upgraded to v2.4.5 last night and watched a 90 minute show without any issues.
So, we'll see how it goes.
Thanks Dennis,
Will do.
I haven't tested against one of my BDP S370s yet either so that will be interesting. I can try Mezzmo on a different host as well.
Outstanding support as always.
Hi Dennis,
Assuming I need to start some focussed investigation, would the logs be likely to show anything useful in your experience? Or will Mezzmo be blissfully unaware that the TV has dropped...
I've been using Mezzmo for more than 12 months and it has worked flawlessly throughout. However, the last update may have created a small issue.
Occasionally the TV (Sony KDL-40HX700) will report...
I'm interested as well. Just bought a D7000 (may or not be exactly the same format as the D5100 but certainly very close. The D5100 has 30fps, I believe).
I got it to work by running it through...
"Go Advanced" lets me edit the post title but not the thread title (as far as I can see). But I've probably missed something obvious - I usually do. :o
