I gave up on Orbit years ago. Besides, you don't suggest competitors to the product being supported in said product's forum.
Since FlashGot development is stalled, has Conceiva considered its own Mozilla compatible extension? FlashGot may run in Pale Moon, but not anything newer. Last FF version supporting FlashGot is...
FlashGot & DownloadStudio can't download YouTube videos
I created a post in their forums. No response yet. Should I cross-link the threads?
Negative. DownloadStudio creates the job--extremely slowly. I almost gave up. Once the job was "Connecting", it just sat there with no activity. So I killed it.
BTW: I tried downloading a...
Neither. It's a text file with the URL.
I installed the patch. But while the default file name was correct, a 51 MB file was downloaded as just 820 bytes. It didn't play at all. DownloadStudio didn't act like I was trying to download a...
I don't have Mezzmo. Did you see anyhting wrong with that string I gave FlashGot?
All videos downloaded have also lacked sound.
I use Pale Moon 27.6.1 64-bit (a Firefox fork), DownloadStudio 10.0.3.0, and FlashGot 1.5.6.14 (probably the most recent version compatible with PM). When I have FlashGot set to download media using...
The job graph now only shows green squares. DownloadStudio does know how long the videos are.
I did it with a site rule. But it does look like it was connection that was checked rather than split. Still, I thought the Job Graph was an indication of the portions of the file that have...
Just trying the new settings now. This video isn't all that large so it isn't much of a test. But I did notice something odd in the Job Graph pane. With just one split, it acted like it had...
Weird. That works. The only difference I see is the order. I put the <file> tag at the end of the <job>. You put it at the start. Why would that matter?
I picked the highest bandwidth option. It's 684 megs. My string is below:
<downloadstudio><originator>firefox</originator><script><add_jobs display_dialog=yes><joblist><job> [<url>URL</url>]...
Thanks. Do you think it'll be fixed in a future version?
Patch installed. No change noted.
Still crashes.
The video I was attempting to download was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf52LSg4AsA.
It's checked.
It's checked for me. I must have turned it on when I first configured the application.
BTW: That only works if you surround the FNAME part in brackets. They can, however, be outside the XML tag. Without the brackets, the FNAME string is treated as a literal. Unfortunately, I also...
I checked that and found "*.mp4" in the list. If it wasn't in there originally, I added it. They still aren't being filtered. I thought I set up a different default download folder for videos.
It's still a bug.
