I have sent the info from 3 files that did play & now won`t. I`ve also included the info from a file that DOES play for comparison

Strange it did that as the first email got through fine. I`ll fire off the FFmpeg info right now .

Tried the tweaked profile Paul, Files now showing as AVI but still wont play. Relogged & emailed back.

Just got one of these to replace my BDP-S570 & the first thing I did was make sure the firmware is up to date. Set it up using the "BDP, HTS" profile & some files would play while others wouldn`t....

Installed the new 4.1.1.0 & the crashes have stopped. Well done on such a fast fix guys!

Installed the trial version for a mate today & it also keeps crashing. Didn`t think to check the version number but as I downloaded it today I suspect its also version 4.1
