Installing python isn't the issue. It's the whole "needing another third party app to run". That's another app you have to maintain security updates for.
Might be better to write it in something other than Python as most people running Mezzmo, on Windows, don't have Python installed. Something a little more "universal" to Windows.
One of my playlists, called TV Shows, has 13,469 episodes in it, and it enumerates just fine on both my Roku Ultra and my nVidia Shield Pro using the Mezzmo apps for each platform. I am using the...
Not that it is your issue, given that you're on an iPhone, but I had a similar issue on an older Samsung TV that turned out to be a memory issue with the TV itself. The TV was just incapable of...
I don't see a playlist called 'Folders' in my installation. Sounds like it might have been an artifact from an old installation (I started with version 4.x, but am at 6.x).
But the problem with this is that you lose your artwork if you need to relocate your database for whatever reason.
Wouldn't it make more sense to use relative paths rather than absolute paths to avoid this problem? For instance, you already enter the path of your database, so have the artwork as a relative path...
Have you guys gotten around to testing with Windows 11 yet? I'm not ready to upgrade yet, but I thought I'd go ahead and ask before someone else did. Sort of get out in front of it before mass...
So that's the only way huh? Good to know but a bummer...hehehe The show I am watching right now that prompted the question didn't come with subtitle files.
I'm not sure if this has ever been asked before, so I think I will ask it.
So, I only speak and understand English. All of the movies that I download have English. However, some movies have...
I have the Shield Pro. It was a little spendy, but worth every penny.
Yes, the Mezzmo Android app will run on the Shield. I have a Shield Pro and it runs great. I can't answer for the Chromecast, sorry.
I'm not trying to discount anything in this thread, just posting my experience....
I am not experiencing the runaway process issue that is being experienced here. For reference, I have about...
Sure, but all that does is affect the displaying of the icon, not controlling the way the app reacts when you click the X. You can do the same thing in the Options - General - System Tray Icon...
You're responding to a nine/ten year old thread. Mezzmo does have a web interface (web client) that can be shared out over the Internet and used to stream.
That sounds to me like it's not detecting the movie correctly. Go into that playlist in the Mezzmo app itself and right lick on the file and select Play To and see if you can play it to the Shield...
I see it with a manual metadata grab almost exclusively.
I don't know if this helps with the troubleshooting of the memory leak, but I have noticed the following...
When you first start the Mezzmo app and are doing manual metadata updates it takes "a...
I agree there's definitely a memory leak when you are updating metadata/artwork. I have to exit out of the Mezzmo app, rarely it crashes on its own, over time because it stops refreshing the...
Sure. I will take a screen shot the next time it happens. If I exit out of the Mezzmo interface and go back into it and re-do that particular movie, the poster downloads correctly.
Pre-supposing that one knows the year when a movie was made...
It's ok. Nevermind. I was just thinking that another piece of added flexibility and all that. Don't worry about it. I will...
After playing with it a couple of days, I've noticed something in the beta build.
Every once in a while, while retrieving a poster, all of that goes well, but when it applies the poster, the...
I'll just deal with it. I thought it might be an interesting idea to add if it doesn't exist already. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that does things like this.
I also put things like (4k...
Neither one of those options work when the metadata scanner picks the wrong movie info for your movies. For instance, there are two Planet of the Apes movies. It's a crap shoot if it's going to get...
So here's the "issue". I know it's not really a bug in the program, which is why I put issue in quotes. I have some folders that have multiple movies in them that are a part of a "series". I will...
