There is a DLNA client app for the Roku.
Why would you transcode files when in many cases you could simply switch containers on the fly, that is just transcode. Most streamers support H.264 video...
But all the discussion seems to be about text subtitles. Idx/sub subtitles are pictures. They are quite different than .srt or .smi. I am not sure that DLNA itself allows for subs that are not text...
What about support for external idx/sub subtitles? It would be nice to have these transcoded on the fly so to speak.

This is not exactly WHS support as many are reluctant to use Remote Desktop to alter their WHS systems. In addition one has to be careful that C: doesn't get filled up with files produced by Mezzmo....
Does it then run as a service? Where would it store its temp files? You would not want it filling up the small C: disk.

I also have the ST600. During setup it selected an LG Blue-ray player. Seems to work fine, though the TV makes more sense.
