My understanding was that GPU transcoding can't be done until FFMPEG supports it? It's possible that Conceiva are working on their own I guess.
That would be a better feature than pre-transcoding,...
No luck, still getting stuttering in some hd files.
One thing I've noticed: when playing a HD file and it stutters, and then playing a different video file, FFMPEG.exe stays in memory at ~500mb...
Lack of meta data control and options is my main bugbear with Mezzmo, now that I think I've solved my stuttering problem. It's pretty much the only reason now I'm still investigating XBMC.
Definite support for this +1.
Can I ask how youre thinking of implementing it though? When maintaining library (assuming we can select source as IMDB/other sites in options), will these...
I may have solved my own problem. Will get back to you.
I don't suppose this has made its way onto the "to do" list has it?
I've sent in a log from a planet earth episode we were trying to watch last night. 2.5GB, 1080p hd, stereo sound.
It started stuttering pretty much straight away.
Sony Bravia KDL-32EX503 using the Sony Bravia KDL device profile.
And yes to the second one, a habit from running as a sys admin for so long.
Log on as administrator.
Run a command prompt.
sc sdshow Mezzmo
this should return a lengthy string such as ...
I upgraded my file server (Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400@2.66GhZ, 4GB ddr2 ram, transcoding onto a WD Caviar blue hdd) and for a while it was fine transcoding full 1080p films via the (gigabit) network,...
I'd want to show thumbails for somethings, and not for others. Eg no thumbnails for music but thumbnails for videos.
Could this have an "per folder" setting if it does get implemented?
As I progress (bloody slowly!) through my bluray library my Films folder is naturally getting larger and larger.
Is it more efficient to have separate folders for every file as in some system...
Do you have any kind of roadmap you could publicise? I realise its often hard to have something like that, but vague and obviously non-binding information?
Another vote for this, along with more consideration for sorting by different methods would be good :).
Is it really just a consideration, rather than a focal point of development and planned move?
Good to hear, thanks :).
It would appear that in the meta info the date isn't transmitted to the device, and the "date" field is merely when its copied to the server share (I have removed the log info about album art and...
I was thinking more along the lines of how they're rendered. Mine is a 4th generation Bravia engine and it does display thumbnails, I just wish there were other options :p.
Eg a split type page...
Ok i'll try getting some logs; and in addition to which I presume its entirely up to the device how thumbnails are rendered?
Right here are my experiences. Don't take this as a definitive yes, but here is my setup and what I've done.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.66GHz 4MB-cache
4GB Crucial Ballistix...
Ah its the device rather than mezzmo? Sony Bravia.
Specifically year. You can put the year of film/etc in the details, and yet when loading the file, it appear to load the year the film was copied to my server?
Eg film Nuns on the run, year 1990....
Fair enough; though an SSD might be a decent overall upgrade for my server anyway, and they're not expensive any more. I guess a ~50gb sata drive (if I can even find one!) will be cheap as chips.
