Default problem with deny device to cut stream

Hi i had this problem a long time ago and it was fixed with a patch. The problem is when i deny someone while they are watching a stream and click ok it dose not cut the stream and keeps playing and you have to stop and then start the server to get it to drop the connection. It needs to drop the connection as soon as you deny it i use this on my kids to cut there access when over there bed time. Im using the new version and it was working on the version before this..

    thanks

    Hi Stewart,
it could be that the device has cached the video and is playing the cached content when you deny access. It is only possible for the server to deny access when a device does a new request for content so if a device is continuing using the same connection or has cached the content then Mezzmo cannot stop the stream.

but on the other ver when you deny the device the device gets removed from the status bar straight away in this ver it stays there and never expires the deny request

I can see in the code that the previous change is still present from the patch. Have there been any changes to the streaming device such as firmware updates which could account for the change in behaviour?

Can you please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try playing a file on the device then from 'Media Devices' in Mezzmo set the device to Deny and click OK and then after the device does not disconnect after a few minutes send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can investigate.

From the logs it appears that the request from the Mezzmo application to the server is being denied because the local PC device does not exist. Allowing new devices to connect so that the local PC device can be created should resolve the issue.
