    Default Dumb Forum Question

This is more for the Mezzmo crew, but I'd like to throw it out there for "the masses" that use Mezzmo.

Should there be a separate forum "area" for Mezzmo "the server piece", and each of the Mezzmo clients. This would sort of "sort" the questions a little more logically.

The reason I am asking that is that we have questions about the Roku client, the Kodi client, the AndroidTV client (although arguably its a server too), and the actual Mezzmo "server" all intermingled in the same forum area. The same could sort of be said for "news and announcements" too. All of the client and "server" announcements are intermingled and it's easy to miss new announcements.

It might also be interesting to announce "work in progress" information for the various clients and "server" from time to time to avoid people thinking that a client platform or the "server" is "abandonware". As an example, a thread that I was a part of about the Roku client. No work had been done to it due to the fact that they didn't have a "working " Roku device to work on/with. While I am sure that it wasn't the intent to "abandon" the Roku platform, it gave the impression that it had been.

This is *NOT* meant to be a criticism of anything that they have done, or are planning to do. The intent is to be more "informational" with regards to Mezzmo development. I think we are all here because we like the Mezzmo ecosystem.

I've often found the level of separation you are suggesting is driven by volume and activity. I agree there can be value with certain levels of separation. If you have questions on the Kodi client I have a thread running for it right now.

    Kodi Addon Thread

Feel free to post questions there. It's been a bit active as there have been significant enhancements and an additional version of the addon to support Kodi 19 / Matrix.

I don't use the Kodi addon, but I know alot of people that do. I mostly use the Roku and Android apps, and sometimes it can be hard to dig for things.

We considered adding sections to the forum for Kodi, Roku, Samsung, Web access, etc but at the time there were not many posts on each so these forum sections would have had only a few posts. We may add new sections to the forum if the volume of posts on one particular section increases.
