Default Files Visible but Not Playing on Any Device

I've been running Mezzmo for a number of years now but just in the past week or so I'm not able to access any of my content on any of my devices. I’ll give a couple examples:

    Onkyo RZ720
    Device Profile: Onkyo TX/HT
Playing an MP3 playlist that I’ve had setup for a while now just displays the album artwork on the device for a few seconds and then goes to the next file in the playlist till the end and doesn’t actually play the audio. I can also browse my library but the files don’t actually play.

    Sony Bravia XBR65X900C
    Device Profile: Sony Bravia KDL
Sees the Mezzmo server and folders but says the folders don’t contain any data.

Windows Media Player on Win10 PC
Can see my playlists but exhibits similar behavior to the Onkyo above. Tries to play one file after the next but nothing actually plays.

I can play the files by right-clicking on them and selecting Play so the file paths are correct. My next thoughts are to try resetting the database and then ultimately uninstalling and reinstalling the product but I’d rather avoid that as I don’t want to setup my playlists again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same issue when I had to rebuilt my Mezzmo box, going from a Win7 system to a Win10.

Some of the things that I checked, or got told to check from these forums:

    * Windows firewall (in my case it was already disabled)
    * Network settings
    * Check to ensure that the service account, if you're running Mezzmo as a service, is set to run as a user account name, not a UPN name.

Please check this thread for things that may help you.

Try going to 'Media Server Settings' in Mezzmo and if the server is running as a service then change it to run as a Windows console process to see if this helps.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

Thanks for the suggestions Peter and ftanner.

Changing to a console app worked for accessing from Windows Media Player and I'll try my other devices this evening. Reading through the thread you posted ftanner was a good education as well. I'll post back when I try the other devices.

    Thanks!
