Version 1.0.18 of the Mezzmo Artwork Checker has been uploaded to GitHub. This
version has a minor update to support the new Kodi Additional Artwork feature
in the Mezzmo Kodi addon. Previously the artwork counts in the statistics page
would not account for the extra artwork in the UserPoster folder. This version
now detects and calculates them properly.

You can download the release zipfile directly from GitHub here.

If there is interest, I will add the ability to fetch the additional artwork from
fanart.tv using the NFO creator capability within the Mezzmo Artwork Checker.
This includes clearlogo, banner, keyart and the other additional Kodi artwork.

I wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about this conversation. In the next few weeks I will begin investigation on what it would take to move the Mezzmo Artwork Checker and the Mezzmo Trailer Checker to a compiled binary format which would run natively under Windows.

No commitments yet but I will begin the research.

So I know it's been awhile but I haven't forgotten about this. I've been doing some research and am looking at changing directions here. Instead of converting everything to GO code just to compile it, there are options available which can compile the current Python code into an EXE file which can be distributed and doesn't require installing Python. I've begun investigating this approach and so far it is looking promising.

I should have something to test in the next couple of weeks. I'll start with the artwork checker and then the trailer checker. What's nice about it, is that it is supposed to work on multiple different platforms but for now I will start with Windows.

An initial test release of the Mezzmo Artwork Checker in an exe format for Windows
x64 platforms has been posted on GitHub as version 1.0.19 test..

I would appreciate some users testing this format. If you are currently using the native
Python version, just download the zip file and extract the mezzmo_actor.exe file into
the same folder as the mezzmo_actor.py file.

You should then be able to run the Mezzmo Artwork Checker like normal using the exe
format vs. the .py format.

The final release version version 1.0.19 of the Mezzmo Artwork Checker has been
posted to GitHub. Beginning with this release and going forward the Mezzmo
Artwork Checker will be delivered in both native Python and Windows x64 exe
formats. There are no functionality updates or bug fixes in this release, just
code changes necessary to support the Windows x64 exe distribution format.

Mezzmo Artwork Checker v1.0.19

The associated Mezzmo Artwork Checker wiki pages have been updated to
reflect the new distribution format. There are no differences in functionality or
commands between the release versions other than either the .py or .exe file
extension.
