Default windows 7 (64) Mezzmo service not starting

    G'day people,

    New mezzmo convert here.

I have just bought the license for mezzmo server. It installed ok. everything fine, but
it does not start the mezzmo service. If I try to start it manually
(from my computer --> manage), it says

"windows could not start mezzmo service on local computer.
    err:1067 - process terminated unexpectedly"

    any ideas ?. windows 7 (64bits). mezzmo v 2.1.x latest from website.

    thanks in advance.

Check the Event Viewer log - do you see any additional info there?

Also, make sure your service is launched using your user credentials. I.e.:

Username must be "./YourUserName" (the ./ defines that it is a local user)
    Password must be your password

Please also turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try starting the server and after it fails send us the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll investigate.

    hi there,

Thanks to Adric at conceiva support for the for the clue. netstat showed me Hamachi2 tunnelling service was holding the port 1900.

Is there any way to change to a different port in mezzmo ?

    regards,

No this port is not changeable - port 1900 is a standard UPnP port that all UPnP applications "talk" on.

    abcbucket,

Did you ever find a way to run Mezzmo and Hamachi2 concurrently?
