    Default Strip text from title

    I know this is a long shot...but

Does Tools\Options\General\Display Titles, have the ability to strip text when creating video titles. let me explain.

When i have a video filename "Example Family Movie[1080p].mkv", Mezzmo then creates the title in my videos library: "Example Family Video[1080p]"

Every video i add i then edit the title, and strip off the last [1080p]. Yes i know i can simply remove this from the filename first but i prefer it left in for easy reporting.

When doing any en-mass tasks i have to rename hundreds of Titles,

So can Mezzmo "Display Titles" feature, or other mysql edit etc. be used, to strip back any fields present at the end, eg. [1080p], [720p] etc. etc.

    cheers

I have some of this functionality in the Kodi Mezzmo addon. With some work it could be expanded to do this but it would only work for Kodi clients. There is a Display Title feature in Mezzmo which is used to add certain keywords to titles. Maybe a feature where you could specify words to remove might work. Peter would would need to weight in here.

The Display Titles cannot remove words currently. When creating the title Mezzmo does strip off noise words so you can check the properties of the file in Mezzmo to see if the title has the [1080p] removed. If you are using filenames as titles then the [1080p] will be shown but if you use the title then it should be removed. Check the current display title setting to see if the filename is being used.
