Retitling of videos in Mezzmo

I'm using Windows 10 x 64 and Mezzmo 6.0.6.0 and had two video files recorded in 2016: the first an AVI video at 48.3 MB.

I also have JPEGmini Pro 3 which doesn't recognise AVI files so I converted the first one to a MOV file using AVS4YOU Video Converter, the resultant file being 44.2 MB.

I then went to my Samsung UE32D5500, which is the Media Device linked to Mezzmo, only to find that although when opened were of the original 2016 content, each had been renamed 'The very late afternoon of a faun' and dated '5 May 1983'.

In going back to Mezzmo I see that they are also renamed so I can't blame my TV.

Can anyone solve this mystery, or at least enable me to rename them in Mezzmo ?

Is it that the two files have the same name, the one being an AVI the other a MOV file ?

You may find that they are named from an internet look up of the metadata. You can remove this metadata by selecting the files then choose to Maintain the files and set the Metadata retrieval Options to not use the Internet for retrieving Metadata.
