Thread: Having to wait for Mezzmo to connect to my TV

  1. #1

Default Having to wait for Mezzmo to connect to my TV

Running Mezzmo's android app on my Sony TV.

Running Mezzmo Pro 6.0.6.0 on my Windows PC.

When I start up Mezzmo on my TV, it takes up to 30 or so seconds for Mezzmo on my TV to find my Windows Mezzmo server.

It seems like 3-6 months ago, it connected right away.

What setting have I screwed up?

    Thanks.

Please try power cycling your router to see if this helps. The Mezzmo app will send out a multicast message over the network and wait for a response from the Mezzmo server, it can take longer if there is congestion on the network so if you have installed any other applications that use UPnP this may contribute to the delay.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

Rebooting the router made no difference...... Pretty sure I haven't installed any other programs that use UPnP.

If I start Mezzmo on the TV, I have to go to server, then hit refresh, and the PC server shows up in 30 or so seconds. If I shut Mezzmo on the TV down, and start it up right away, I have to do the same thing, and wait 30 seconds for it to connect.

Can you please try temporarily disabling your Windows firewall to see if this makes a difference?

You could try making the server sticky in the app on the TV. Go to the server list then long click on the server and select to make the server sticky and this will avoid the issue with server discovery.

Looks like your suggestion of making the server sticky has worked.....

Fire up Mezzmo on the TV, and I'm good to go.

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
