Default Samsung C Only Showing First Playlist

    Peter,

As mentioned in another post, I'm rebuilding my Mezzmo server. The library is configured with your default playlists (videos, photos, etc.) and a couple of my <regular> playlists at the bottom.

When connecting my Samsung C TV to the new Mezzmo server, the TV's view defaults to one level down (videos) instead of the library root. I cannot navigate out of the videos folder using the remote. I verified the Samsung C profile is set in Mezzmo. The TV worked fine on the old server -- albeit I originally deleted the default playlists and built my own hierarchy using regular/smart/active playlists.

Mezzmo correctly presents the library root on my other devices.

Any idea why this is happening and what to do about it? I could try deleting the default playlists, but I prefer to use them.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Update: I deleted the default "video" playlist and the problem is gone. Now the TV opens on the library root.

I am not sure what was causing the issue for you. I have a Samsung C TV and don't see this issue but another way to solve this would have been to just share the next level down content with the TV in the Mezzmo device content sharing. This way if you had other devices that you wanted to see Video, Music and Photos, they would see it normally and the Samsung C would just see he next level down folders / playlists that you setup in sharing. I do this for some of my clients whee I only want them to see certain content but others see everything.

The Samsung C profile uses special predefined folders so that the TV will browse directly to the Videos playlist when you select Videos on the TV. As you have done, deleting this playlist causes Mezzmo to deliver the root playlist.
