    Default Samsung Smart Monitor support

    Hi

OK so i have gone and got a couple of the new Samsung Smart Monitors, a 43 inch B series and a 24 inch A.

    https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/...s43bm700uuxxu/

    https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/...s24am506nuxxu/

They are basically a Smart TV without the tuner, but still with all the Picture/Sound/settings that come with a full blown TV.

From what i can see, i have 1 question, and 1 tiny issue..

    1. Can you let me know which profile i should be using? the Samsung N and M etc. seem to work OK but just wondering if i should be using another. I even have Samsung Chaptering working, which takes me back to the base64 we helped with years ago.
    2. The film "title" field on the TV seems to be adding the extension, even though it's set correct on the server TITLE. I have all other devices showing the exact TITLE field i have set.

EG: On the server an example file setup:

    filename: "Avatar[1080p].mkv"
    title: "Avatar"

but the TV shows the title as: "Avatar.mkv"

so it just adds the extension to the title field. Nowhere have i got Avatar.mkv used or saved.

again, not a huge problem at all. but interesting since i have the titles all showing perfect on other devices around the house, or VLC etc.

    thanks

    Gus

    Hi Gus,
we have seen similar behaviour from an LG TV we have here. In this case the TV is appending the file extension to the title on the LG, it may be the same for your TV. The Samsung M or N profile should be fine for these devices.
