Samsung Folder Icons have disappeared

A week ago, I had a router failure. When I installed the new router, I found that the Samsung Mezzmo client had decided to stop displaying Folder Poster Icons, and would only display the generic blank folder icons. THe wallpaper still displays, and if I go into a folder, the file poster icons are there.

Just as a trial, I tried connecting the Samsung tv wirelessly (I don't do that normally as the speed is terrible and I get poor resolution), and strangely the Folder Icons appeared, yet when I set the TV back to Wired connection, they disappeared again.

I have tried a TV reboot, a Mezzmo Server reboot, a database refresh, and I still have the same issue.

This only happens on my Series 5 32" Samsung TV, all my other 55" Series 5 and 6 Samsung TV's are fine..

Any suggestions?

The TV may be using a different profile on the wired connection. Please check which profile is assigned to the TV for the wireless connection and change the wired profile to match. You will need to check the TV's IP address for its wired and wireless connection to identify the correct entries in the media devices list in Mezzmo.

For some reason, the Wired connection was showing as an Unknown device - Generic (NTSC)...

I checked the IP settings on the TV, and for some unknown reason it was not finding the DNS server (internal network connections were ok, but no internet). I re-entered the DNS server addy, and it came back ok, and internet connection was working again and... lo and behold Mezzmo Media Devices info changed from 'Unknown device' to the correct '[TV] Samsung 5 Series (32) - Samsung N (no DTS)'.

The strange thing was the TV was still managing to find and log into my Samsung Account and connect to Samsung TV.....? I guess Samsung connections don't rely on DNS resolution and use distinct IP addressing in some way.

And yes, I now have the icons back... YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!
