I found if I did a "maintain playlist" on the video folder, rather than the Home movie playlist, the files appeared in Home Movies. However, I have a number of GoPro files with a GPnnnnnn.MP4 name format that are not being included in Home Movies even after maintaining the folder. Can you help with that? They won't drag into the Home Movies active playlist.
Maintaining the Home movie playlist will only update the movies contained within the playlist, it will not add movies that are not already in the playlist. Maintaining the video folder will process movies that may be home movies and add the category to them which will put them in the home movies playlist. You can select videos that are not in the home movies playlist and go to properties then add the Home movies category to them so that they will appear in the home movies playlist.

Thank you for helping me sort this out.

However, on second thought, the Home movie playlist is still not working in all cases. For example, two file names are GOPR0004.mp4 and GOPR0005.mp4. They are categorized as "Home movie." I have removed the category and maintained both the files and their folder. The "Home movie" category reappears but the files are not captured in the Home Movies active playlist. These are short 20 second videos, but I am experiencing the same problem with videos that are 4 or 5 minutes long. Thanks,
B
The home movies playlist uses year and month from the files metadata date, if the file does not have this date in the metadata then it may not appear in the playlist. Try editing the properties of the file in Mezzmo to add the year and release date.
