Thread: not streaming

    Default not streaming

I have a new Windows 11 PC to which I've installed Mezzmo Pro, which I used on my previous W10 PC.

My Roku Ultra does not connect to Mezzmo through the Mezzmo for Roku app. In fact Mezzmo does not appear via Roku Media Player.
The Roku picks up the W11 Media Player app without issue.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    thank you

On all of my Roku boxes I've had to manually enter the Mezzmo server. I think the Roku OS is blocking UPnP SSDP discovery.

The other potential is a Win 11 firewall issue.

Please try going to 'Media Server Settings' in Mezzmo and click the button to configure the Windows Firewall.

Please try temporarily disabling the Windows firewall to see if the server can connect to the device. Also please check that you have the box to allow new devices to connect to Mezzmo checked in 'Media Devices' in Mezzmo.

    1) "Allow all new devices to connect to Mezzmo" was already selected under Media Devices.

    2) I turned off "Windows Defender Firewalls." Streaming then worked properly through both the Mezzmo Roku app and Roku Media Player. Also, "Roku Streaming Player (mkv)" appeared under Media Devices device list.
    3) After turning the firewalls back on everything appears stable and functional.

    thanks for your assistance!
