    Default Rocktek G2

I bought a Rocktek G2 to try it out. The Mezzmo client has a * by all of the movies and doesn't play them in HDR. It uses the generic Mezzmo Android TV device profile. Do you have a device profile for the Rocktek G2 (which I know supports HDR)?

Ok. So I had to manually turn off transcoding and that fixed my weird HDR issue and the * next to the file name.

Now onto the next weird issue. The fast forward and rewind do not work.

If you are using the Mezzmo Android app then use that profile, not a hardware profile. Disabling transcoding allows the streams to passthrough without any changes which is why HDR returned. It is unlikely HDR will be supported with transcoding, even with a future ffmpeg v6.0+

Please try installing the Mezzmo Android app to see if fast forward and rewind work. Otherwise try installing the VLC player app.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

I am using the Mezzmo Android app when FF and RW do not work. I will try the VLC Player app and let you know.

What profile are you using ? It shouldn't be doing that.

Also, as an FYI, LibreElec supports Rocktek G2 but that moves you from Android to Linux and Kodi. I am not sure if this device is to be dedicated to Mezzmo or other things. Android to LibreElec is pretty much a one-way street where reloading Android is difficult.

I am going to add a section on the Mezzmo Kodi addon performance page for client testing / support which may help folks pick boxes.

So I tried to use the VLC player app to test, since the Mezzmo Android app (which I have a paid copy of) doesn't allow FF and RW. VLC player doesn't even see my files. I go to Local Network - UPNP and see my Mezzmo server. But when I go down to Videos it tells me that there are no videos to play. The Mezzmo Android app sees the stuff just fine.

As stated above, it's using the Conceiva Android profile, just like my nVidia Shield Pro does. FF and RW work just fine on the Shield. I'm not a fan of Kodi. It's way too clunky in the way that the screens work.

    Additional Info

Other apps, such as Youtube TV, Youtube, and the like, FF and RW seem to work fine. If I let the video transcode, that seems to allow for FF; I didn't try RW.

Another thing. I have an app installed called Button Mapper, which allows me to re-map buttons to do different functions. So I went in and got the "button codes" for the buttons in question. They are as follows:

nVidia Shield Pro Remote (where FF and RW work)
    FF: media_fast_forward (90)
    RW: media_rewind (89)

Rocktek G2 (where FF and RW don't work for "live (as opposed to transcoded) streams")
    FF: dpad_right (20)
    RW: dpad_left (21)

Based on the above, it looks like, for whatever reason, the Mezzmo Android Client ignores the dpad_left and dpad_right for live (as opposed to transcoding) streaming. Is this something that can be altered in the Conceiva Android profile?

If the file is being transcoded on the fly then fast forward and rewind will not work. Please try disabling transcoding to see if the file plays correctly without being transcoded.
