Mezzmo on Samsung Galaxy S22

Hi, Regarding Mezzmo for Android V 2.2.3 Build 136 running on SM-S901E/DS

Just got a new S22 and I cannot get Mezzmo to work on it. If I set the server to the local one in the phone mezzmo doesn't find any of my media files stored on the phone.

If I set the server to mezzmo running on my PC it finds all my movies etc on the PC BUT if I try to play any movie the phones screen just goes blank, I can tap on the screen and see the play controls and progress bars though. That's all I can do...to get out of the blank screen I have to restart the phone!

I must be missing something here as I use mezzmo all the time on my Sony TV.

Can someone please help?

Due to changes in Android permissions the app cannot access files on the local device, we will investigate this and see if we can find a solution.
You can install another video player app and go into the settings in Mezzmo Android and uncheck the box to use the internal video player then when you play a video you can select another video app to play it.

If I understand you, mezzmo cannot scan my S22 and display my movies, music etc at the moment ???

Is this permissions issue also causing the blank screen when I try to play movies from my PC on my phone??

FYI, I have VLC installed and have unchecked "use internal video player" in mezzmo but mezzmo still shows no media on my phone.

I've probably got myself totally confused and apologise. Bit mezzmo is now useless on my new S22.

Using VLC is to play movies from your PC on your phone. Mezzmo showing no media is a permissions issue that we are working on.

Thankfully Mezzmo still works on my Sony smart tv

Getting the S22 is my first foray into android 14 from 10 my "old" S9+ ran on so getting used to lots of wee changes.
