I've been using a paid for Mezzmo for donkey's years to send my media saved on the PC upstairs to the TV downstairs without any problems.

I've recently been having a problem when the Mezzmo icon occasionally does not appear on the TV list, turning the TV off usually cures it.

It isn't a WIFI problem as far as I can see as the signal is strong.

I am using the Samsung N Device Profile in Windows Service mode on a Samsung Series 7 (50) TV, I just wondered if this is still correct or has there been an update.

Samsung D is still the correct profile. Even if the wifi signal is strong there could be interference from other nearby wifi signals, you could try selecting a different channel for your router wifi.
