    Default Mounting iso Files

I am thinking of setting up a home media server using an HP N54L micro server which has a 2.2 GHz Athlon processor and 16 GB RAM and runs Windows 10 Pro.

At the moment I use a QNAP NAS and a Roku Roku Express 4K which is fine but I am looking for something that will stream iso files and Mezzmo Pro seems to be able to do that.

At the moment I use Brasero on a Linux box to make iso files* but then have to create an MP4 or similar to play the file, it seems much simpler just to play the iso if I can.

*Under English law I am allowed to make one copy of a DVD that I own for my own personal use, obviously this may be different in other jurisdictions.

    My TV is HD.

Does the HP N54L sound as if it would be up to the job?

Dow Mezzmo Pro really mount iso files? Lots if software claims to but actually doesn't!

    Many thanks.

To update this I downloaded a trial version of Mezzmo Pro (I hadn't realised that was possible) and found:

Yes, it does stream iso files.
It is impossible to turn off the sub-titles.
Streaming is slow and it stopped several times.

This was using the inbuilt Roku app.

The Mezzmo app on my Roku cannot find the Mezzmo server and it seems impossible to edit the address, mind you I don't know what the correct address should be.

I will try again tomorrow with a more powerful PC and see how it works.

OK, tried with an HP Z230 Xeon 3.4 GHz and 32 GB RAM streamed perfectly, no stuttering or buffering so a bit too much for the little HP N54L!

The features available when playing the file back depend on the player and I get different facilities depending on what I am watching on, VLC is perfect but not available for my Roku but it is for a Fire TV so I need to do some thinking.

The Mezzmo app on my Roku still cannot find the Mezzmo server, any help there would be much appreciated!

I've had issue with Roku devices not finding my Mezzmo server. Hit the plus sign ( + ) and add your Mezzmo server IP address in manually. I have 3 Roku units that I've had to do this with.

    Thanks,

    Jeff
