Streaming a ripped (from my original disc) blu-ray m2ts file with transcoding for the device turned off gets the following:
  • very occasional peep of audio
  • choppy, slide show like, video
  • an occasion ~3 seconds of smooth video with no audio
  • constant flickering of "Preparing to play" in upper right hand corner
  • sometimes after 2 or 3 seconds it simply skips to the next file in the folder

With transcoding for the device turn on:
  • 2nd or 3rd time you start the movie, it plays. The transcoded file name is: 14250-mkv-libx264-ac3.mzt (25.4gb). Original file: 00485.m2ts (35.1gb) - ffmpeg data below...

Equipment:
  • Samsung PN50C8000 with firmware 1032
  • Samsung BD-C6900 with firmware 1018.1
  • Gigabit network switch w/gigabit connection on PC
  • Secondary network is WLAN g/n (same results as LAN.)

Notes:
  1. Mezzmo lists the file 00485.m2ts as 3.18gb instead of the 35.1gb size that Windows Explorer shows it to be.
  2. Mezzmo has no way to select the audio stream inside the m2ts to be used.

How do I get m2ts files to be streamed without being transcoded and streamed so they are viewable?

Thanks,
Marc
