Since this would be a loaded question for the Conceiva folks to answer, allow me to step in.

I tried a couple of DLNA servers over time. I ended up settling with Mezzmo for a few reasons:

    1) Actively developed AND supported. The one I was using before that was getting 1-2 minor update a year. Mezzmo seems to be getting one every 2 months on average, and the Conceiva folks answer support questions within 24 hours in general (barring weekends, of course).
    2) Wild Media Server charge you one licence per single device. That means this would be insanely expensive for me as I have my PS3, a WDTV Live, an iPod Touch and an Android smartphone. On top of the fact that it's more expensive than Mezzmo, that makes it something to consider when choosing a DLNA server.
    3) Creating your own custom folder organization is a breeze with Mezzmo, and unmatched by others. You can do a lot of things through the GUI.
    4) Transcoding is always the trickiest part of any DLNA server, and Conceiva are on top of things. Transcoding issues related to device profiles are usually resolved within a few days, and you can also even fine tune it yourself by editing the XML config file yourself if you want.

In the end, it will be a matter of deciding how much subs are worth to you right now. Mezzmo is still missing a few important features to clearly become a leader, but the developers are open to ideas and seem to be open to implementing new features in future versions (having some sort of preview or "here's a list of what is already done in next version" from Conceiva would rock BTW ).

If you buy Mezzmo now, then you can use your serial/license key to register the new version without any additional charge.
