Default Sony bdp-bx370 (s370) Help Please

Hi. I just purchased the software because I heard such great things about Mezzmo. I can't seem to get it to appear on the Blu Ray player however. It seems to be set up perfectly well on the PC. I'd appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

If Mezzmo is not listed on your Sony BDP, it is usually a home network issue. Try these things:

    * Make sure your PC and Sony BDP are all connected to your home network
    * Make sure your Windows firewall is allowing Mezzmo access to your home network. Go to Mezzmo's Media Server Settings dialog and click the Configure Windows Firewall button if it is enabled.
    * If you are using another firewall, make sure "MezzmoMediaServer.exe" and the port listed in the Media Server Settings dialog in Mezzmo are not blocked. Also, the ports 1900 and 2869 should not be blocked.
    * Make sure you have selected "Sony BDP" device profile in Mezzmo's Media Devices dialog. There are 4 Sony BDP device profiles to choose and test with. You will need to experiment with each to make sure you have the right one.
    * Check if your wired/wireless router has built-in UPnP. If it does, turn it off. Turn off and on your router when making changes.
    * Check if your wired/wireless router has a built-in firewall. If it does, make sure it is letting Mezzmo and the ports listed above to access your home network. Turn off and on your router when making changes.

If your new to this, like I am, use these tips in conjunction with Paul's. I just bought a BDP-BX57, and can help some. I can't help with the Firewall stuff, as I don't use one.

    * Can you get to the online content like Qriocity or Amazon Videos On Demand from the BX37?
    * When you started "the program", did you also start "the server". They are two different things, and I know it sounds strange. Right click the Mezzmo icon in the Windows Icon Tray (near the clock) and select "Start Media Server". This has messed me up on several occasions.
    * In the network settings of the BX37, Connect to a server. It should find it right away. It should work now.

Don't give up, this is a great product. When the crew gets back from Holiday, they can help you even more.
