Thread: Mezzmo not showing .TP files

Default Mezzmo not showing .TP files

I installed Mezzmo 2.1.12.0 last night without issue. I set up shared media folders in the Mezzmo library. These media folders, and MOST of their contents, are visible (and playable) to other UPnP/DLNA devices on the network, but Mezzmo doesn't seem to recognize .TP files. Odd, since Mezzmo seems to have such a comprehensive list of compatible files. .AVI .MPG. and .MP4 files, for example, do show up and stream.

For some background, .TP files are simply MPEG2 Transport Streams (similar to .MT2S, but with a different extension) as recorded by BeyondTV and HDHomeRun. As this is my primary DVR, much of my media is in this format. Other media servers have been able to recoginze and stream the same .TP files just fine.

Is there anything I can tweak inside Mezzmo to get it to recognize these files?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you please rename one of those files to have an extension of .m2ts (for example, just so you can add it to Mezzmo), then add it to Mezzmo, right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command. After that please post the results here and we'll add this extension in the next minor update.

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the prompt response and sorry about the huge delay. Work and life forced my to put my Mezzmo testing on hold for some time. At any rate, I've since uninstalled Mezzmo 2.1.12.0 trial and installed 2.2.0.0 trial. .TP files still aren't recognized by Mezzmo. As requested, I renamed a .TP file to .M2TS and it is recognized by Mezzmo and streams just fine when not transcoding. Here's the ffmpeg info from one of the files.
