Does the 3G network have access to your LAN/PC? I'm not sure if it's technically possible over the 3G network, but would be happy to know whether someone succeeded in doing this (or not).

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

I am using iPhone APP "ML Player Lite" to stream with Mezzmo which is free.

I can look at photos and play music on my iphone that are stored on my computer using Mezzmo

Playing videos did work for a few file types, but are not playing now - not interested either at this point in time

I've tested PlugPlayer. It works with mezzmo over 3G. It also works when connecting from other network over WiFi. But you MUST have activated VPN connection with Mezzmo's network.
Unfortunately PlugPlayer don't have any animated graphics when waiting for transfer of transcoded data - it sometimes look like it is hanged up and doesn't response until remote folder opens or music starts to play.
Anyway it's quite good choice. You can save your remote playlist for easier quick start of playback. You can listen to mezzmo music playlist and even watch videos if your upload bandwidth manage the amount of data.

Back when I had an iPhone I used 8Player. It works great over wifi and you can use the instructions at http://08software.com/products/8player/3g to set up over 3g. Note than hidef will not work over 3g it is way too slow. Plus to get SD to play well is goint to require a minimum of 2mbps upload speed from your network (well the network the server is on).
