Hello Mezzmo team,
I just installed the Mezzmo product today (15 day trial) on my windows 2008 r2 server. I wish to use it as a DLNA server for
1) iPad's
2) iPhones
3) Samsung TV.
Install was fine. I setup the folders which contains some mkv's. I then used AirPlayer on the iPad to try and see if I could play an mkv. It finds two media centres (??? why?)
a) The windows 2008 r2 server <-- huh?
b) Mezzmo Digital Media Sever
So i select the Mezzmo server, find the mkv and play it. It starts .. but it's SOOOO choppy it's unwatchable.
Is this normal? When I see my friends watch their apple videos (handbraked) on their apple devices with AirPlay (not airplayer) .. things just work AND they are instant, etc.
I'm under the impression that Mezzmo should be able to stream mkv's to tv's and ipads with no probs, etc?
Here's some tech details about the testing:
1) DLNA: Windows Server 2008 r2 x64. Intel Core2 6400 CPU 2.13Ghz. 4Gig Ram. 2 HDD. OS on 1. Mkv's on 2. Mezzmo installed to C drive.
2) Router Gateway: Billion BiPAC 7404VNPX
3) Client: iPad.
4) Network: Server is in a cupboard, connected via WiFi. WPA2-Personal + AES. Speed: 150. WiFi has been setup (on the Billion Router/Gateway) to mode g + n.
5) Test area: the iPad, server and router/gateway are all within in meter radius of each other.
6) Test MKV:
video codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10
audio codec: ATSC A/52 / AC-3
bitrate: 640000
sample rate: 48000
width: 1280
height: 536
Any help would be sincerly appreciated
