Thread: How to resume files?

  1. #1

    Default How to resume files?

    How do you resume downloads?

there is no option to do so!

all I see in file options dialog is

    'if file already exists'

rename the file, overwrite the file, or stop.

where is if the file exists, 'resume the download' option?

or ask what I want to do?

When a download is stopped or fails before the complete file is downloaded it is possible to resume the download in DownloadStudio.

To do this just select the job in the download list and press 'Download/Resume' toolbar button. If the download has been started, but is not complete you should be presented with a dialog allowing you to resume the download, or download the complete file again.

You should note that on some rare occasions servers do not support resuming downloads.
Conceiva. Download it with DownloadStudio. Stream it with Mezzmo.

Yes I know about that. I'm talking about resuming downloads not in the download list that failed in the brower and I want to use a download manager to resume the file. All the free download managers support this, but I don't see the option here.

There should be an option in the dialog 'if a file already exists' there should be an option there to resume the file. whats the point of a download manager if it can't do this!

DownloadStudio does not support resuming downloads of files that are not already in the download list. DownloadStudio integrates into your web browser so that downloads can be 'caught' by DownloadStudio and downloaded from the beginning without the complication of trying to resume a download of a file already existing on your computer.
