Question Subtitles with Philips BDP7500 MKII

    Hello,
I'm using Mezzmo to stream avi(divx, xvid) and mkv(h264) files to my Philips BDP7500 MKII (also known as BDP7500S2/B2). For these I selected the profile "LG BluRay" which works fine for me. But Subtitles like *.srt, (*.idx,*.sub) or mkv-internal will not displayed by these way. When I play these files directly from USB-Device all of these will be displayed, so my Player has no problems with this kind of subtitles.

Some month ago I tested all profiles to be play/show the subtitles, but none of these worked. What can I do to get it working?

PS: Is it possible to increase the fast forward speed from 4x? I'm using a Gbit-Switch so this should be working with 16x or so. Some other Streamingsoftware is capable of it.

    best regard smile1

    Hello,

Did any other media server deliver subtitles to the device? This link: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d..._144.135.8.150 suggests that external subtitles are not support by the device over DLNA.

What other server allowed you to increase FF speed? What happens when you try to go beyond 4x using Mezzmo?

Ooh, I didn't know that this isn't supported by my device. So I need to play these files over USB.

With Serviio I'm able to set the FF speed to the maximum (in my case 32x), when I press the button again it stops the FF and play with normal speed.

    Thank you for your answer.

We're working on improving our FF/REW code, so the next minor Mezzmo update may actually allow you to go beyond 4x. If it still won't, then we'll need to diagnose this further - if you'd like to do that before the release, please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll provide instructions on what we need (basically a Wireshark dump from your TV).
