I have been trying for a day and a half now to replicate the issue in a Smart Playlist, however, it has not happened. It has happened in folder views again. The only Smart Playlist I use is recently added, so there have not been as many browsing attempts to that as the folder views.

Gusnor, you make an interesting point. I will look into the power settings on the drive. It is actually a RAID device attached vie E-SATA. The thing is, this sometimes happens after one file is finished playing and I browse for a new one.. so I know the drive was being active.

    Thanks.

The device (TV) may cache a bit of a file, so it's possible that the drive wasn't accessed for a couple of minutes (depending on the file).

I think it may be related to drive access speed, since reading a folder that's added using the "Add Folder" command is done in real-time, when you access it from your device. Other plalists (smart/active/normal) are read from the database, so are a lot quicker.

As a test, perhaps try copying a bunch of file on to your local disk (no RAID) and add that folder to Mezzmo and see how that performs. What RAID level are you using?

It's RAID 5. I will try putting some files on my C: drive (an SSD) and see if the error persists.
