    Question Mezzmo music file structure

I'm using Mezmo with a Samsung type 'C' TV, the media handling is great but frustrating. Within the Mezzmo library the files are listed in artist / genre / file type / year etc. I have imported my music library from iTunes which was easy.

When drilled down through artist or genre I can get to single songs but this does not show the other songs on that album, this is very frustrating when albums are compilations. Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to add another child to the music branch that lists files by album? also it would be nice to have album art work at this higher level.

    Regards

The default playlists in your Mezzmo library can be changed or removed, or you can easily create you own.

In your case, you want to list all your albums (no matter the artist), so I would suggest trying the following:

    1. Click the Music playlist in the tree.
    2. Click Create Playlist and choose Smart Playlist
    3. In the Smart Playlist dialog, choose "Album" as your keyword.
    4. After you click OK in this dialog, a new playlist will be created and all albums will be listed.
    5. if you want to change this playlist, select it and right-click on it and then click Properties.

Hopefully this is what you are after, or you can try various keywords to create a music structure to your liking.

    Paul,

Many thanks for the guidance. I have ended up amending the properties of an active playlist (changed 'Year' to 'Album') which works perfectly. My only other question is: can I get the album art work to be displayed at the active play list level? I get the art work displayed when I drill down one level into song title or artist but would like it at the higher level.

In the current version of Mezzmo, we do not display artwork for the actual folders/playlists. The main reason is that most DLNA devices we have tested never request artwork when displaying folders - they typically just display their own folder icon. For those devices that do support it, it is something we are looking to improve for a future version.

Thanks for the clarification, one more minor question; Mezzmo currently displays 10 folders / files per page can I adjust the amount of folders listed per page on my TV? is this a TV function?

This is a function of your TV, so there is nothing to change in Mezzmo for this. Mezzmo simply streams/delivers whatever your TV asks for. Perhaps check the settings on your TV to see if there are any options to adjust the number of folders/files displayed.
