Default Automatic startup problems with 2.3.1.0

The service fails to start on startup on my Windows 2003 server. Always worked fine until I upgraded from 2.1.13 to 2.3.1. Once the computer boots, i can manually start the service just fine and the server appears to operate normally.

The error I receive in the windows Application Event Log is:

    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: Application Error
    Event Category: (100)
    Event ID: 1004
    Date: 4/23/2011
    Time: 11:55:19 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: SERVER
    Description:
Reporting queued error: faulting application MezzmoMediaServer.exe, version 2.3.1.0, faulting module normaliz.dll, version 6.0.5441.0, fault address 0x00000044.

I'll admit my server is not very powerful, its slow as heck. It may just be that this newer version takes slightly longer to startup than previous versions, and it might be as simple as that...... But any other thoughts?

Not sure why v2.3.1 has the issues you are experiencing on your Windows 2003 machine. We'll need to see a set of logs. Please turn on logging (see: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and then restart your Windows 2003 machine. After Mezzmo media server fails to start, send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Surprise! Now it works fine. (!?!?)

All I did was go into settings, discovered logging was already turned on, cleared the log files to get some clean logs to parse through, restarted the server, and it started on its own without issue.

Odd, but it works, so I'm all set!
