    Default PS3 Unsupported data error

    For some reason when I try to watch a file with the following FFmpeg data I get a "Unsupported Data" error message.

    FFmpeg version git-N-28463-gc5dcb3d, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers
    built on Apr 20 2011 10:16:52 with gcc 4.4.2

    But this file with what looks to me to be the same settings plays just fine.

    I'd really love some help figuring this out.

    Any chance there's some corruption of the file? Maybe try rebuilding it with mkv merge and try again. Might not hurt to send the Conceiva guys a log of it happening if rebuilding the mkv doesn't help.

    Aaron, I'll give MKV Merge a try but when playing the file on my computer there are no problems at all. I even tried taking the transcoded file and copying it to the PS3 (after correcting the file extension) and it still wouldn't play.

    It could be that FFmpeg cannot read the file for some reason, and thus cannot transcode it for the PS3. Give mkv merge a try and if that does not help, contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com for further help.
