Default vob's not being displayed full screen

trying watch a vob on a PS3 connected to a 1080p projector. The movie plays fine, with the exception that it isn't full screen. There are black bars both horizontally and vertically. Is there anyway to get this to display the same size as it would if I were playing directly from DVD?

If it helps, here is the info on one of the vob's of tried:

That file looks like a native one, so Mezzmo should not be transcoding it. If that's the case, then it's just delivered to the PS3 as-is and it's up to the PS3 or the projector to scale it properly. Try different zoom/scale modes on the PS3 and the projector and see if any of them work.
