Thread: LG BD670 bluray player seen as generic

thought I would provide an update.....Ok, got my new BD670 today. DVD playback no longer an issue. Mezzmo now recognizes my device properly but streaming still does not work. I have a Belkin N+ Router and get high packet loss with the LG for some reason. I am not seeing this behavior with any of my other WiFi devices including a Samsung B series tv which streams from Mezzmo pretty well. All firmware is up to date so I am thinking there must be an incompatibility between the LG and the Belkin N+ Router but have not found anything documented yet.

Have you tried plugging it in with a cable (if it's possible) to see if that works?

    Hi Dennis,

I have not wired it up since I do not plan on using it in that capacity but did try dif. channels and frequencies without much variation. I have a feeling that it is an incompatibility issue between the LG player and the router since this is the 2nd 670 with the same problem.

Perhaps if you could send some logs in, we'll be able to spot if there's anything peculiar going on.

I'd check things like UPnP settings and QoS on the router to start with (turn them off).
