    Default Baffling

So I evaluated Mezzmo, running it from my Windows Home Server 2011 and connecting to it using a Sony BDP-BX58.

Everything worked perfectly - every video I threw at it played flawlessy.

So that's enough proof for me and I buy the software.

I install it on it's "permanent" home, my HTPC running Windows 7 64. This box is beefier than may WHS box: Intel E8400 CPU, 8 GB RAM, etc.

Now EVERY single video file I try to watch using the Sony causes the Sony to just freeze up.

I running over a hardwired network.

Please tell me it's something simple and not some sort of bizarre bug that effects only Windows 7 64...

The first thing I'd check is if the device profiles are the same on both machines (use the Media Devices dialog).

Have you made any changes to the device properties on either of the machines?

I deleted Mezzmo from the WHS box so can't check that.

    No changes on the Sony.

The Sony can see the files and "tries" to start playing but the screen goes blank.

It so borks the Sony I have to hard power it off.

Ok, can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try playing one of the failing files and once it stops, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com
