Default no DTS with 2.4 by Sony

    Hello,

I have installed the current version. All files with DTS do not work any more. With version 2.3.2 no problem at Sony BDP S470

    Hello,

Can you please post FFmpeg information on one such file (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command) and we'll check it here.

Also, please let me know which device profile you're using.

    Hello Denis,
Mezzmo 2.4 does not recognize any DTS audio track in m2ts and does not play the video.
Have already ffmpeg and the profiles swapped with older versions (SonyKDL, SonyBDPPal). I have upgrade to 2.3.2.0 works perfectly with DTS tracks and Sony BDPS470

    Hello,

Such files should be passed through natively to the device in 2.3.2 and 2.4, so I'm not sure what the difference is (using either the Sony Bravia KDL or Sony BDP device profiles).

Does 2.4 try to transcode this or does it pass through as well? What happens when you use 2.3.2? They should behave in the same manner for that file.

This simply means we now add audio files with .dts extension when scanning folders. It is not related to DTS audio track in video files in any way.

Mezzmo only uses the first video and the first audio tracks in the file at the moment (this is how it has always been, so no changes here). A future version of Mezzmo will let you choose which tracks to play, but at the moment you'll need to take out the unneeded tracks by remuxing the file manually (if you want the DTS track to play instead of the AC3).

Some devices will also let you choose tracks in file that contain multiple tracks, so see if there's any menu while you're playing the file that lets you do that (since we're passing the file through natively, all tracks are delivered to the device).

    Hello Steve,

Can you please confirm that you went back (downgraded) to 2.3.2 and it sends the same file using the same profile to the device differently?

If you turn off transcoding in 2.4, do these files play ok?

If you wish, please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll continue via e-mail (if it's easier), as I could then send you some device profiles updates to try on your system (with Mezzmo 2.4 installed).
