    Question Yamaha BD-S667

Hi, i'm having problems with the Yamaha BD-S667 bluray player.
It recognizes Mezzmo, but when playing it erratically "hooks up" on the last few seconds of each track, keeps repeating it forever.
I suspect not having the right device profile - the Yamaha BD-S667 is not in the device picklist.
    Help appreciated.

    Hi,

Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then play that file again and once it starts looping, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll try to sort it out.

    Question

I'm also using Mezzmo with the Yamaha s677, I'm currently using the Yamaha RX device profile and all my files stream perfectly. The only issue I'm having is that any photo's I have indexed with Mezzmo do not show up on the DLNA player. I've looked at the DLNA certificate on DLNA.org and it states that the Yamaha S667 supports jpeg_SM, how do I edit the device profile so that the images display on the device. PS. i have all transcoding turned off as I'm currently running Mezzmo trail on a single core Intel P4

You need to have transcoding turned on, otherwise images will not be recoded to fit the JPEG_SM profile.

We'd need to create a new device profile for the BD, so that we can support it properly. Can you please open a support ticket and we'll create a device profile for it? If possible, please send in a short log talking to the device (just connecting to Mezzmo from the device is enough), so that we could check whether we can auto-detect it.

Hey, I'll send a log as soon as I'm home, however by changing the jpeg format in the device profile to jpeg_sm the bluray player displays the images perfectly, so that issue is sorted on my side.

The one thing I picked up thats a small (tiny) annoyance is that the player does not go to the correct top level playlist automatically, eg. I currently have to browse to "mezzmo/video/video" in order to view the video playlists, ideally I would like to just go to "mezzmo/video" and have all the video playlist shown. Can this be achevied with a switch on the device profile or is this ability located elsewhere?

We'll create a new profile for it, so you wouldn't have to tweak your every time we update Mezzmo and it may provide better format support in any case.

Most devices don't tell us (the server) the mode you are in, so we cannot present just the Video folders, because we don't know what you are browsing. We'll see from the logs if yours has any information on this or not.

Thanks for the file info. When you say they are working or not working, do you mean with transcoding off, trying to send them natively to the device?
